How to disable M-Files Office and Outlook Add-in
Posted by Sakari Heinonen (M-Files) on 11 May 2018 05:11 PM

You are able to completely disable the M-Files Outlook Add-in or Office Add-in if necessary for troubleshooting, for example.

This registry key will disable only the Outlook add-in in the client computer. Replace <version> with your current M-Files desktop version.

 Key path  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Motive\M-Files\<version>\Client\MFOfficeAddin
 Key name  OutlookAddinDisabled
Key type  REG_DWORD (DWORD 32-bit Value)
 Key data
  (1 = disabled, 0 = enabled)

To completely disable Office Add-ins, use the following registry key:

 Key path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Motive\M-Files\<version>\Client
 Key name  DisableOfficeAddInIntegration
Key type  REG_DWORD (DWORD 32-bit Value)
 Key data
  (1 = disabled, 0 = enabled)

Please note that this will affect all Office M-Files Add-ins (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

You will need to restart the client computer after the registry changes.
