M-Files UI not loading

In some rare occasions, the M-Files UI does not load when starting M-Files. Starting M-Files just opens the M-Files views in Windows Explorer as folders. We already have an internal bug report (ID 142426) about this. If you face this issue, please try following options to resolve it:

Option 1: Reboot your computer

Option 2: Remove the Document Vault Connection and add it back

  • Right click the M-icon in the Windows task bar and select Settings -> M-Files Desktop Settings
  • Click the vault in question and select Edit
  • Write down the Document Vault Connection Properties and select Cancel
  • Click the vault in question and select Remove
  • Click Add and fill in the Document Vault Connection properties and select OK
