Firewall Settings Ports Needed

FIREWALL SETTINGS FOR M-FILES SERVERS

Incoming TCP/IP traffic from Client computers to port 2266 should be allowed

- Only applicable when using standard TCP/IP protocol

- For RPC over HTTPS allow incoming traffic to port 443

HTTP-traffic to port 80/HTTPS traffic to port 443 should be allowed if M-Files Web or Mobile Access or Web Service API is used

Outgoing traffic should be allowed on:

- SMTP-server (port 25) for notification messages

- IMAP (143) or POP (110) for external email sources

- MS SQL Server (1443), MySQL (3306) etc.

- Folder Shares, TCP ports 137, 138 and 139

 

 

FIREWALL SETTINGS FOR M-FILES CLIENT

Enable outgoing traffic to:

- Port 2266 if using standard TCP/IP protocol

- Port 443 if using Web Access or RPC over HTTPS configuration

- Port 80 for automatic updates
