Microsoft Surface UI Scaling Issues
Posted by Sakari Heinonen (M-Files) on 24 August 2018 03:01 PM

It has been observed that some parts of M-Files user interface are not shown optimally on Microsoft Surface devices with high resolution displays or an additional high resolution display connected to it as an external display. This problem is encountered while using display scaling in Windows. Changing the size of text, apps and other items to some value other than the normal 100 % on the monitor - Or the external monitor - would introduce this effect. Using differing resolutions on the monitors in a multi-display setup may also factor in.

Therefore, It would be suggested to approach this problem by adjusting the scaling and resolution settings. In addition, using the latest updated version of M-Files is recommended to make sure that potential fixes for previously discovered display issues will have been addressed in the version that is being used. The latest update is available from our web page at https://www.m-files.com/en/update-mfiles

These concerns have also been addressed in Microsoft's article "Windows scaling issues for high-DPI devices". It would be recommended to follow advice given in their article, which is available at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3025083/windows-scaling-issues-for-high-dpi-devices?os=windows-10&=undefined
