Compare Function is Not Showing Both Original and Revised Documents - Missing
Posted by Ramez Mohsene (M-Files) on 11 October 2018 09:41 PM

When using the Compare function in the M-Files ribbon inside Word, and you select the older document you want to revise, Word should display your current document and the older document on the right-hand side.

In the event that you do not see that in Word, it is likely that the Compare > Show Source Documents is not set properly to show you the revised or original document. It is an easy switch in Word to fix.

The setting in Word was hiding the "source" documents. Once we set the option under Review > Compare > Show Source Documents > Show Both (or revised), the proper view was now in place.
