"Filters" tab not showing any options

Problem description

In some cases, "Filters" tab used to refine searches on M-Files Desktop does not show any options. Normally, at least "Scope" and "Object type" options should be visible.

 

Possible reason and solution

One possible reason for this is that the operating system's web browser is too old; M-Files uses current Windows web components to display some content.

The solution is to download and install at least Internet Explorer 11 into the computer via update or at https://www.microsoft.com/fi-fi/download/internet-explorer.aspx, even if you do not use Internet Expoler as your default browswer. Log out and back in of M-Files Desktop and retest opening the Filters tab to see if the issue has been resolved.
