M-Files Admin tool and Windows Server 2012

1 Overview

If your operating system of the server is Windows Server 2012, M-Files Admin tool crashes when trying to use Configurations (Vault-> Configurations).
M-Files Admin requires Internet Explorer version 11 to work properly and IE 11 is not available on Windows Server 2012, only on 2012 R2.
There is following error in Windows Event Viewer logs:

2 Workaround

Upgrade server to newer version or use M-Files Admin tool from computer having Windows with IE11 (e.g. Win10, Windows Server 2012 R2 or newer).
