Limit of 1000 characters in notification message contents, a workaround

Problem description

There is a database level restriction of how many characters notification messages can have.

You will notice this limitation when inserting notification message contents in workflow state. The input field will not allow a message exceeding 1000 characters.


The workaround is to use property placeholders for static parts in notification contents. You can create properties containing text that are inserted in the contents when sending the message.
This way the object that is stored in database does not have over 1000 characters in the message field but the actual message that is sent will have all the required contents.
