When trying to make a change in M-Files to a class, property, etc. it throws an exception like:

MPropertyPage2.cpp, 102, Cannot change the unmodifiable parts of a property definition. (0x8004002F)

MPropertySheet2.cpp, 143, Cannot change the unmodifiable parts of a property definition. (0x8004002F)

PropertySheetPropertyDef.cpp, 490, Cannot change the unmodifiable parts of a property definition. (0x8004002F)

2     Solution / Workaround

Re-register the correct API Version. To do that:

Navigate to the correct M-Files installation folder (C:\Program Files\M-Files\<Version>\Common) and run the commands below:

regsvr32 MFilesApi.dll

regsvr32 MFilesApi64.dll

regsvr32 MFilesApiInternal.dll

regsvr32 MFilesApiInternal64.dll

- Restart MFServer.exe

- Restart the M-Files Server Auxiliary Service
