The information in this article applies to:
  • M-Color

If you are using an older version of M-Color and you want to evaluate the latest version before upgrading, but you do not have a separate computer for testing, it is best to proceed as described in this article.

More Information

Before you start to evaluate the latest M-Color version on your computer, it is best to have the following preparations made:
  •  If you have a standalone license, then it is best to keep the activation code you have received from your reseller or from Motive Systems at hand.
  •  Reserve a few hours for evaluation.
Note: M-Color can be evaluated only once on one computer. The evaluation license works for 30 days from the day of the installation.

Evaluate the latest M-Color version.
  1. Download the latest M-Color.
  2.  Close all AutoCAD and M-Color programs and install M-Color. Choose the evaluation mode when prompted for the license during installation.
  3. Evaluate M-Color.

After evaluation, you can leave M-Color installed if you purchase a license for it. All you need to do is to activate the license. If you want to revert back to your current M-Color version that you have a license for, you need to do the following:

  1. Close all AutoCAD and M-Color programs.
  2. Remove M-Color using the installation program.
  3. Install the M-Color version you have a license for. Choose when prompted if you have a standalone license or if you are using a network license.
