Disable Offline Mode

1     Overview

The following is the client side registry key for disabling the M-Files built-in Offline Mode functionality.

2     Registry Key

  1. Open Registry Editor on the client machine.
  2. Navigate to and insert the following registry key.

Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Motive\M-Files\<version>\Client\Common\

Value name: DisableOfflineUsage

Value type: REG_DWORD (DWORD 32-bit Value)

Value data: 1=offline mode disabled

0=enabled

 

  1. Restart the client PC in order to the setting to take effect.

 

Note: In order to deploy this on multiple client machines, you will need to utilize the Windows built-in Group Policy Objects to push out this key across the needed machines.
